Weather Permitting

We had to move testing inside due to the weather.  Rain moving to clouds made it tough for the "solar" cookers.  So I set up a heat lamp and a 200w bulb and we went for it.
Here is the set up.
This group got a ton done.
More Testing
Notice the ring stand mount.  It's probably never been used for that before.

Solar Cooker

For our last project.  Students are going to build a solar cooker.  Once the cooker is built we will have a cookout on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.  We will also be sharing and working with students in Parkway and Ghana.  We contacted Akua, who we talked to when we made water filters and she put us in contact with Lab13 located in Ghana.  Here is an intro from them and pictures of them building cookers.

Here they are testing their designs.
