Final Stations

Taste the Rainbow (maybe just see the rainbow)

At the volume station students use a graduated cylinder and a recipie to create the visible spectrum of light.

At the temperature station students measure three different temperatures of water and record the changes over time.

Science is tasty.

Students are working through stations dealing with measurement. I gave them a pack of M&M's and they had to sort, mass, and graph the information.


When measuring the mass of each color I told them to make a paper boat for thier M&M's. Some took it literally.

What is it?

Today, I put a bunch of equipment out and asked "What is it?" and "What does it do?"

The Walgreens logo.

A masher upper.

A mashed potato masher.

It's cool.

What if we put a paper clip on it?

It's a giant ring.

It holds something.

It clamps to something.
